What Are The Symptoms Of Smelly Discharge, Weight Gain, Redness In Skin And Itching Indicative Of?
Hi there,
The skin on my inner Thight is pealing and leaving a reddish ski colour, the pealed skin is brown and the area is itchy.
I have a fishy smell discharge and have gained weights.
Can you tell me what this is and is it linked to anything.

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM
Seems you could be suffering from fungal infection of the groin folds. Folds trap moisture and provide a conducive environment for fungal growth, weight gain predisposes it even more.
If i was your treating doctor i would have advised you to use an antifungal cream like clotrimazole twice daily for 4 weeks along with an oral antifungal like fluconazole once weeky for 4 weeks.
An oral antihistamine like cetrizine will help control the itch associated with it.
Once the infection is cured it is advisable to use an anti-fungal dusting powder to prevent it from recurring again.
