Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Last night my daughter (age 47) stood up from cleaning out a lower refrigerator shelf and banged the center of the top of her head on the small freezer door in the upper part. She was momentarily barely functional with pain. She sewed a little on the machine, realized that was not efficient and took a walk with her daughter, showered, and with a headache typed out a small set of parts for a play for special needs kids in the high school. It took her till midnight to get two pages done. Today she drove to work with a headache and says she is getting better. She has not gone to see a professional. I suspect that is because she has no insurance, being just employed in a divorce process. Is there anything to watch for and use as a marker for going to see her physician? Martha Piatney
Hello and welcome to Healthcamagic. Usually these symptoms indicate mild brain concussion and some more serious consequences are not likely. However,if there will be unconsciousness, repeatedly vomit, seizures or vision disorders, she should do brain scan and see neurosurgeon for further evaluation since these may be serious symptoms. I hope I have answered your query. I wish you a nice day.
