This is only history of contract , nothing more than this : Now answer of your question about HIV status and cough and uncomfortable feeling. Although HIV can be isolated in low titers from saliva of a small proportionof infected individuals;there is no convincing evidence that saliva can transmit HIV infection either through deep kissing or through other exposure with this root. In your case as you mentioned that there was only kissing so no chance of getting HIV infection by you. 2nd point , you mentioned is that holding of penis , i would like to say mere holding of penis can not transmit HIV infection by any means . As for cough and uncomfortable feeling , these may be due to upper respiratory tract infection or due to allergy , when such patient visit my clinic I advise them to take dextromethophan+chlorpheniramine maleate+menthol syrup . Since there is uncomfortable feeling in cheeks I advise my patient to take azithromycin 500 mg, once in day for 3 days . Still no relief within three days , consult a physician and get his opinion. Since 8 months passed after initial contract , if you have been any HIV infection , symptoms may have appeared , so in my opinion you are HIV free. Hope this will help you.
