Hello,
Welcome to Health Care Magic. I read carefully your query and I understand your concern.
The imbalance hormonal can include progesterone, estrogen and testosterone, but also the thyroid gland hormone and adrenal hormones.
The hormone imbalance symptoms can occur two or one week before period and improve after the period knowing as premenstrual syndrome and symptoms included are :breast tenderness, irregular periods, food cravings, skin changes, monthly weight fluctuation, bloating, headaches, fluid retention, backaches, frequent colds etc.
Another cause imbalance hormonal symptoms is polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), the symptoms are menstrual irregularities, weight gain, facial hair, abnormal sugar metabolism, and susceptibility to acne. It can be detected by a gynecological echo and a measurement of blood testosterone.
But you should know and other causes than hormonal imbalance that can influence on irregular periods that are excessive weight gain or weight loss, eating disorders, increased exercise, emotional stress that influence on PRL production and this influence on the normal menstrual cycle, illness, travel, medicines, illegal drug use etc.
Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.
Kind regard,
Dr .Marsida Janko
