What Are The Symptoms Of Coeliac Disease?
My husband and I apparently carry the celiac gene. I have always had non-specific gastro problems and also fatigue. My grandson has been diagnosed with IBD and I would wonder if he should have a blood test for celiac disease. He is currently on Remicade every 4 weeks and is symptom free. It would be better to be on gluten free diet than to rely on a biologic.

Hello. Thanks for putting your query in hcm. I appreciate yiur concerns regarding yiur grandaon. IBD and celiac diseasebhave different symptoms. Since he is diagnosed with ibd and doing well on ramicade so there appears no doubt that he is having ibd. Ibd can be associates with celiac disease. And there is family history also. So I will suggest you to get his blood test like anti ttg antibody for celiac disease in blood. Wish him a good health
