Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can anybody please tell me the difference between chicken pox bumps with pus and normal pimples. The thing is I have a bump with pus on my face and I am unable to identify if it s chicken pox or a normal pimple. Also please note that I already got chicken pox once in my childhood. So please help me to identify this as I am unable to differentiate on my own. Thanks in advance :)
from your description it looks just that..a pus filled pimple, highly unlikely to be anything else. You already got chicken pox, so you can safely exclude that. Besides, the rash in chicken pox does not appear as a single pimple but rather as several. I recommend you do not try to pop it, as this may lead to infection. Keep your skin clean at all times and avoid spicy, oily foods and caffeine. It is most probably related to hormonal changes.
I hope this answers your question. Wishing you good health.
