What Are The Symptoms And Treatment For Eczema?

I think i have Eczema or Dermatitis, I m not quite sure because I haven t went to a doctor to check. These rashes are appearing on the antecubital space which would be the inside of my elbow. It doesn t seem to be going away and I have no clue what to do. They appear as red rashes and when I scratch them mainly because they start becoming itchy the rash turns white.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

You are right. You seem to have atopic dermatitis ..may be called atopic eczema.
There may be tendency to have this disease. It is an allergy induced disease. There may be some allergen responsible for the disease. You consult dermatologist for firm disease and perfect treatment.

Antihistaminics and steroid in tappering dose may be taken till good result. Topically, steroid cream or tacrolimus oint.0.03% may be applied. Avoidance of suspected allergens is considered. I hope you got my answer.

Thanks.
