General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Duoluton L tablet contains Ethinylestradiol and Levonorgestrel as active ingredients. It is indicated for irregular menstrual cycles. It is used to regularise the menstrual cycle and it also acts as hormonal contraception.

Once the period regularises, it should help to conceive as it improves the chances of timely ovulation. The following is a list of possible side-effects that may occur:

1. Nausea and Vomiting
2. Lower stomach pain
3. A headache
4. Acne
5. Temporary disturbance of normal monthly cycle
6. Dizziness
7. Diarrhoea
8. Irregular bleeding

Consult your doctor if you observe any of the side-effects, especially if they do not go away.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Ashakiran S, General & Family Physician
