What Are The Side-effects Of The Medicines, Bupron, Lifodep And Rispond?

I myself acquired some physical problem when i was at ageof 25years and that time i was in deep depression. Now I am 49 years old and still having problem with the hardened and moving from head to toe and fingers. My doctor has tried maximum medicine for last 2 years but it remains the same. Now he has started giving me bupron sr 150 (morning and evening), lifodep plus (evening) and rispond plus half tablet (evening). Now I have started feeling that the physical system is non curable. Psychologically I am feeling all right. Can I get cured or what are the long term side effect of medicine.

Addiction Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Bupron and Lifodep are antidepressants. Respond is an antipsychotic or major tranquilizer that damps down thoughts. I cannot say in your particular case, but generally, coming to terms with one's circumstances is the goal of cognitive behavioral therapy and is likely to be quite helpful. Now I have started feeling that the physical system is noncurable. Psychologically I am feeling all right. I cannot say about an underlying condition in general and yours, in particular, you didn't say anything about so I cannot say if it can be cured, but the distress from it seems to have lessened.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Matt Wachsman
