What Are The Side Effects Of Taking Rantac D Plus For Acidity?

Hi doctor ,
I have heartburn from past years..After going through all doctors and different types of medication. ..now iam taking one rantac d plus tablet daily before breakfast . .iam taking this from the last 5 months...can I continue this till I get relief or are there some serious side effects of this tablet...
Please help me with this information sir...wwill be thankful to you

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. As you describe the reasons for the heart burn should be ascertained. They may be the peptic ulcer, G.E.R.D, hepatitis, etc.

I advise you to consult a gastroenterologist for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have a gastroscopy, ultrasound, and other tests for confirmation.

I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms omeprazole, domperidone, and antacid gel, till the heart burn is reduced, and once only omeprazole in empty stomach for some time till the diagnosis is established.
