General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello Dear. Encorate should not be given to pregnant women (Especially at the early pregnancy). It is documented to cause harm to the unborn baby. It can cause neural tube defects in the child. Therefore, always tell the last menstrual period to the doctor and whether you are pregnant to the doctor. So if you are planning to conceive consult your doctor so that the drug will be changed.

Hope i have answered your question. Feel free to contact me if you have any more questions. I ll be glad to help you.
All the best
With warm regards
