What Are The Side Effects Of Fucidin Cream For Acne? Can I Use It In Pregnancy?

Hi, I am 20 weeks pregnant. I used Fucidin H cream for acne since long. Because after pregnancy.i got acne prone skin. I didnot know about its side effects. So far my all pregnancy is normal and nothing critical. I will stop using fucidin H cream now onwards but just want to confirm, is my baby safe or does this medicine effect on my baby s health..he will stay normal. I am so worried. Please help. Thanks.

Fucidin H cream contains two active ingredients, hydrocortisone acetate and fusidic acid.None of these are indicated for acne that you have.Was it prescribed by any physician to you?
The effects of the medicine is not properly known about usage in pregnancy.It depends also on how long and how much you have used.The use of topical Fucidin in pregnancy requires that the potential benefits be weighed against the possible hazards to the foetus.In your case, i do not think there is a requirement to apply it in any case
I would advise you to consult your physician regarding the same.
