What Are The Side Effects Of Drinking Alcohol?

I am a 30 year old female great diet am a vegan could excercise more but am ok. I have stopped drinking and was drinking heavy for the last 9 years i mean heavy. pint of hard liquor 5-6 days a week, hard. Now I have pressure and a fluid feeling in my neck and brain thats off and on. pain from 1-10 is 4 but discomfort is a 6/7 when it comes. I am nervous that I may have brain damage or severe nerve damage from so much alcohol. I have had more than several hangovers over the years and excessive vomiting with them.

Brain damage does not cause neck pain. Furthermore sick nerves show problems at the Ends of the longest nerves (painful tingles at ends of hands and feet typically).
However, changes in brain chemistry (difficulty sleeping, for example), some liver effect (generally not very noticeable), lower muscle and bone density, increased risks of some cancers will occur from years of heavy drinking. Mostly it gets better.

THen... neck pain is pretty common. more likely if someone has more wear and tear on the neck and heavy drinking often has other consequences that can cause wear and tear on the neck.
