What Are The Side Effects Of Birth Control Pills?

Hi Iam 20 almost 21 in month Im on birthcontrol but for the past week or 2 i feel my body changing alittle everyday somedays im so tired i cant get up im started to get headaches when i first wake up about 7am everyday or when im about to go to bed, I feel hungry consently after I eat I dont feel full but I get so bloated and ive stayed bloated for the past 2 weeks my stomach feels hard i get weird cramps or shocks not like my menstral cramps somewhat like it but not the full affect. i hate when anything touchs my stomach or have just a little bit of presure around that area annoys me and i have no clue why!! Im very emotional and my back lower hurts, and when i sit or lay down certin ways its very very uncomfortable it never use to bother me but now it does and i get hot/cold flashs! I did take a HPT but it came back negative did i take one to early and Im a very small girl Im only 5 0 and weights about 90 pounds so what do you think I should do? my body has never felt like this before!! please help

Hi,

Yes, birth control pills have side effects, mostly weight gain, bloating sometimes nausea. Since you are experiencing headaches as well, it could lead to migraine attacks. Oral contraceptive pills are not prescribed or stopped immediately in case of headaches, and since you are experiencing all these symptoms you should stop these pills and contact your gynecologist for another mode of contraception.
