What Are The Side Effects Of Xifaxan 200 Mg?
I have cirrohsis of the liver and have been taking xifaxan for 2 1/2 yrs. My ins. will no longer cover this medicine. I have been off the xifaxan for about 3 weeks. One of the side affects I have noticed being off the xifaxan is sever itching from head to toe. I m scratching so much that I have bruising. Thank You

Headache, abdominal pain, nausea and vomiting are some of the side effects of Xifaxan.
Since you are off Xifaxan for more than 3 weeks, the itching you have developed is not due to it.
You should consult your physician to look for the cause of itching.
