What Are The Side Effects Of Xanax?

I was prescribed Xanax I believe the strength is 0.25 one a day by my cardiologist. This pill does nothing for me!!! I have asked him to send me a higher dosage but he refuses. Right now my life is in shambles and I have a very stressful job. I teach autistic 5 year olds!! I'm going to a new PCP on Tuesday how do I ask him without this new Dr without coming across as if I don't trust my cardiologist, I love him but I need help. Thank you

Hello there.
Lot of CNS issues like memory issues,addiction potential,ability to induce hallucinations,dizziness etc can occur with improper dosage of alprazolam(xanax).Your doctor would have thought that higher dose in your case might increase the risks rather than benefits..Take care..
