Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello Dr, My cholestrol LDL 5.7 and HDL 1.25 . I m taking Storvas c 10mg almost a month. I m not sure this medicine it will take how long to reduce the LDL 5.7 to normal level ! could you please advise me the right medicine. Thank you Murugan
Thanks for posting this question on HCM! I appreciate your concern towards the safety profile of Storvas C. You will have to continue to take this medicine for atleast 4-6 weeks to check its efficacy in reducing the LDL level. The most common side effects seen with Storvas include muscle pain, fatigue, pain in the right upper side of the abdomen due to liver inflammation, etc. If you develop muscle pain and fatigue during the course of treatment you must report it to your doctor so that he will use an alternate medicine to reduce your bad cholesterols.
Best regards!
