What Are The Side Effects Of Sacral Lisinopril?

I have been prescribed lissinopril 2.5 mg

When in the hospital it made my blood pressure lower number go to 37 and they took me off

Now, the Dr is telling me to take it??

I need to know how long it takes for an adverse reaction like that to occur?
Thanks, Linda

I read your question carefully and I am sorry about your concern.

That dosage of Lisinopril is really very very low and I don't think it was the sole cause of the low blood pressure, there must have been other factors involved, but since the aim of Lisinopril is precisely to lower the blood pressure (so not an adverse reaction really, just an effect of the drug) in people with high values it naturally wasn't necessary and was removed.

As for the decision on whether to restart it or not that depends on your blood pressure, if it is over 140/90 mmHg (or even 130/85) then it has to be restarted, as I said 2.5mg is a very low dose and shouldn't cause any excessive low values by itself. If your pressure is well controlled then no need to take it but check your blood pressure from time to time.

I hope to have been of help.
