General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Namenda-XR is a brand name of Memantine. It is used for dementia, as in Alzheimer’s disease. It is a well tolerated and safe drug, side effects are minimal.

Common side effects are allergic reaction and headache and if you experience any of these, you can consult a neurologist and ask for alternatives.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
