What Are The Side Effects Of Mirena?

I have mirena, my boyfriend had a vasectomy 8 years ago. But i have recently been having bouts of nausea, sore breasts, ive been over emotional and scatterbrained. Ive had two children previously and recognize the symptoms. We have been engaging in unprotected sex since we began dating 16 months ago. We did not believe it to be a possibility, but now im not so sure. IS it possible that i could be pregnant despite the Mirena and his vasectomy? Ive been completely faithful.

Hello
Thank You for contacting HCM.

The most common side effects of Mirena are missed periods (amenorrhea), bleeding and spotting between periods, heavier bleeding during the first few weeks after device insertion, abdominal/pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, back pain, headache/migraine, nausea, vomiting, breast tenderness .
Regarding vasectomy
pregnancy is less likely after vasectomy.
If you are still concerned and you are over due of your periods then go for urine pregnancy test.
> You can take simple painkiller fore sore breast.

Hope this answers your question. If you have additional questions or follow
up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us.
Wishing you good health.
