What Are The Side Effects Of Melmet?

i am 42 year old male, from last 6 months my sugar level is showing fasting 110 to120 and random 160 to 180, Am i known as diabetic patent ?, I consult doctor He told me to take Tab. Melmet 500 SR daily 1/2 after breakfast and 1/2 after dinner , is there any side effect for this Medicine? Please help me .

Melmet SR is the trade name for a medication called metformin. This is used for both diabetes and pre diabetes (persons who are at risk of developing diabetes)

This medication has been used for a long period of time, it has been used for a lot of years.
It is considered a safe medication generally.
