Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have been taking Lisinopril since June this year. It has caused a tickle in the back of my throat and the constant cough. Now, as of Wednesday I am supposed to take losartan. I came here to read about side affects.
Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. Thank you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein, I understand your concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can. Losartan has fewer side effects than lisinopril and may cause dry cough as well but this is less common than in other hypertensive medications. Other side effects include flu olike symptoms, headache, nausea or dizzonees but these are rare as well and people usually stand it very good.
I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us in every time. Kindly regards. Wish you a good health. DR. Ivan Rommstein
