Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I will be taking Letrozole soon, as I just finished all of my treatments for breast cancer. My doctor tells me that I will have to take it for ten years, and I was just looking up the side effects. From your experience, what is the most common complaint from taking this drug? Thank you, Susan YYYY@YYYY

General & Family Physician, Dr. RS Gulati's Response
The most common side effects are profuse sweating, hot flushes.Pains occur in bones & joints, but you have to get used to it, because this drug can't be avoided.Cholesterol level also usually goes up, but that can be lowered with Tab atorvas 40 mg / day. For body aches we always give Vit D3 60 000 units / week. Don't worry you will be fine, but periodic check up is a must.
