What Are The Side Effects Of Istamet?
My wife is diabetic for the last 8 years. Weight 66.6 kgs. She was using Gluformin XL 500, Glimer 2 mg and Glucobay 50. FPG was 163 and PLPG was 220. Recently the Dr. has prescribed Glimer 2 mg (twice), Glucobay 50 (with b/f) and Istamet (twice). I have been Istamet using this for the last 4 days. I have not checked the sugar level yet. I am worried about the possible side effects of Istamet 50/500. Is it safe to use?

Hi,
Sinemet is generally first-line drugs for diabetes. Its main side effects are gastric upset so we use it after meals.
Other side effects are uncommon. These are safe drugs .you can use it.
