Like all medicines, Galvus can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. (very common, common, uncommon, rare, very rare). The most common side effect with Galvus (seen in between 1 and 10 patients in 100) is
dizziness. Some patients have had the following side effects while taking Galvus and metformin: Trembling, headache, nausea, low blood
glucose, wich are the most common.
You should stop taking Galvus and see your doctor immediately if you experience the following side
effects:
1.
ANGIOEDEMA ( Symptoms include swollen face, tongue
or throat, difficulty swallowing, difficulties breathing, sudden onset rash or hives).
2.Liver disease (
hepatitis) : Symptoms include yellow skin and eyes, nausea, loss of
appetite or dark-coloured urine.
If you want to change Galuvs with another medication, the best way is to consult your personal
Endocrinologist, you should refer to him the glicemia levels and your symptoms.
Best regards.
