What Are The Side Effects Of D.H.E. Treatment?

my daughter will be traveling to wisconsin childrens hospital for an inpatient DHE treatment for cyclic vomiting syndrome,what are the potential side affects,and what are the the chances of this being successful in treating her condtion,they have not painted a rosy picture of the reaction to the drugs during the 5 day stay

Hi,

Ergotamine is better to avoid in cyclic vomiting syndrome in patients with ischemic heart disease or atherosclerosis or history of ischemic stroke patients.

Using tryptanes is useful for cyclic vomiting syndrome. they may also have a few side effects like dizziness, fatigue, headache other than a migraine, tingling of the skin, dry mouth, flushing (hot flashes), feeling hot or cold, chest pain etc.

So take care while taking treatment, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
