What Causes Dizziness After Having Bydureon Injection?

I have type 2 diabetes it is usually controlled by diet recently I gained weight and am now losing weight again. My doctor prescribed to me bydureon. I injected it last night for the first time. Today closer to the afternoon I began to experience lightheadedness and felt imbalanced a little dizzy. After eating dinner I checked my sugar level with my glucometer and my reading was 66. It has never been that low so my question is this normal after taking the shot last night? Also since it s time released how often would you suggest I check my sugar level?

a 66 glucose is not normal and will cause symptoms such as dizziness. exenatide is less likely than many diabetic medications to cause low sugar UNLESS THOSE OTHER MEDICINES (glyburide, insulin, sulfonylureas) ARE ALSO STILL THERE. By itself exenatide is pretty safe.

A potentially very serious side effect ALWAYS has to be reported to at least your doctor. (and probably should be reported to the drug company and FDA but we don't). You can't say how often the glucose should be tested. And, about 1-2 hours after meals and at waking up are two times where low sugar is most common.
