HI welcome to HCM.
Concor is a drug which belongs to class of antihypertensives-B blockers.Adalat is a drug belonging to Calcium group of drugs. Both are equally efficacious drugs.Adalat is particularly used in the elderly people with isolated systolic hypertension as in your case with systolic exceeding 160mm of Hg.With Adalat there will be better control of blood pressure in your case. The side effects with this drug include constipation, increased heart rate, ankle edema and headache. These side effects do not warrant drug withdrawal.Consult your cardiologist for further queries.
Thank you
