What Are The Risks Of Replacing A Stent?

My husband had a heart attack about 12 years ago and he had stents put in. His cardiologist is saying that he needs one of them replaced. We realize that that his stent placement has lasted a very long time. My question is what are the risks when replacing and how much time would he have to stay off work?

Cardiologist 's  Response
There is little risk in placing other stent. Generally rest for one week required after stenting. Restenting will be good for his overall health.
