What Are The Risks Of Gastroscopy?

Hello, I had previously, about 6 years ago had a gastroscopy, and I was told that the sample proved stomach acid more than normal, and was precribed esomeprazole. For the past one week or so, I have been feeling discomfort in the food pipe and gullet, as if something is stuck in there, with some pain. However, I am able to swallow and eat food as normal, although I do have frequent belching. BTW, if a gastroscopy needs to be done, would it be better under anesthesia? What are the risks?
