What Are The Repercussions Of Smoking Weed After Appendix Removal?

I had surgery on Sunday. I got my appendix removed because it was almost 2x bigger then normal. I wanted to know if smoking weed from a bong. Will it effect my healing at all? Note that I been smoking everyday for almost 3 years. I tried to look online for answer and alot say it s fine just not to cough. But I also seen a few saying it slows down the healing. Last thing. Mixing tobacco will that have any effect at all to?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Somking weed does not affect the healing process of surgery. However keep in mind that weed can cause deleterious effects on your body. So it is always better to avoid marijuana for better and healthy life.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
