What Are The Red Dots On My Grandson S Chin?

A couple of days ago I picked my grandson who is eight up at school and he had these little red dots on his chin, you cannot feel them, they look like little blood dots under the skin. He said they do not itch or anything. They are still there, he did not go outside that day so I know it is not because of that. Can you tell me what it could possibly be? Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to petechie.
Petechiae are tiny purple, red, or brown spots on the skin.
They are usually caused by microtrauma.
They can also appear as a reaction to certain allergens.
Iron deficiency can also cause the presence of petechie.
I suggest to do a complete blood count for further evaluation.
Meanwhile,no treatment is required.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
