What Are The Problem Of High TSH Level?

55 yo male, 6-4 tall, 190 lbs, drinker, smoker, active manager, TSH level again at 8.4 after physical, Was same level 2 yrs ago when I went on thyroid med, but I did not continue. This time I will. What would be the top 3 effects associated with my high level; Different websites list dozens of effects so its hard to ascertain what issues I'm having now is a result of my high TSH. If I had to pick a couple, it might be some fogginess and the creepy legs feeling or restless leg feelings, also the cold temperatures tolerance kinda hits home. Thanks.
