What Are The Precautions To Be Taken Before A CT Scan?

I am due to have a CT scan soon and I need to know what to take or what not to take. I am a type 2 diabetic and I take metformin, injection insulin--Humolog and NPH, I am to be in a training, but can I eat or drink at all tomorrow, before the procedure--4:30pm, ?? What about medications??
