What Are The Possible Treatments For Migraines?

Daughter in law having bad migraines since September. She has been to MNHI Headache Clinic in MI and came home with numerous medications which are NOT working....family is getting concerned beyond degree. She saw a Physical Therapist today who looked at her MRI of the spine which was recently done. When asked what level pain she was in at the moment, she told him 4.5 (5 being almost unbearable). He told her he thought he could bring that done to level 2 during the session.....but not so! She left his office approx. 1:15 today and of now (7:50), she is crying in pain. HELP! Thanks

Hello
It seems from the history that your daughter in law is having migraine. Migraine is a type of primary headache and one of the common disease seen in clinical practice.
The acute episode requires treatment by oral analgesic drugs.
If the migraine attacks are recurrent treatment is done by prophylactic drugs like flunarizine or by using beta blockers.

Hence as of now she can take analgesic drugs for pain relief and later do consult your doctor for prescription of prophylactic drugs.

Thank you
