What Are The Normal Sugar Levels In A Man?

Hi Dr, my husband have diabeties2. What are the normal level for the suger tests on a man. 55 years old. He s very active and hardworking during the week? His suger level are mostley between 7 & 15. He takes glucoface 1000mg at night. thanks Marie

Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

For people with diabetes, blood sugar level targets are as follows:
Before meals: 4 to 7 mmol/L
After meals: under 9 mmol/L

HbA1c value which shows sugar value of past 3 months should be 6-5% - 7.0%

If these levels are high you need to discuss with the treating doctor regarding increase of dose of drug or change of drug.
