I have been prescribed gabapentin to relieve the burning sensation in my legs at night. I had multiple tests to eliminate circulation as the source of the problem. I ve taken 300 mg for almost a year. The symptoms were lessened quite a bit for most of the year. Then they got worse, so the doctor prescribed 600mg which I take once a day at night before going to bed. My question: I appreciate the better sleep patterns, but what are the long term side effects? I am 87 and in good health otherwise.
