Thank you for the query.
I would like to know your age and gender. As per the information provided, you are hypertensive, have a history of arrythmia (ablation done) and suffer from gastro-esophageal reflux disease.
Clavix-AS (75mg), comprises of Clopidogrel and Aspirin, both of which are blood thinners (they are antiplatelet drugs and prevent clot formation in blood). It is usually prescribed in coronary artery disease and a background of Dyslipidemia. Typical use of this combination are in Atherosclerosis (diseased arterial wall), myocardial infarction (i.e.heart attack), myocardial infarction prophylaxis, peripheral arterial disease and stroke (ischemic). This drug is also prescribed post Coronary angioplasty with stent implantation. I would like to know whether you got your lipid profile checked recently.
It is difficult to say without further information as to why precisely this drug was given, but probably it was prescribed keeping in mind a risk of Ischemic Heart Disease and Coronary artery disease.
Hope this helps you out.
Regards,
Dr. Ayusmati Thakur
