Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello: I recently had an Echocardiogram, along with a Nuclear Stress Test due to rule out problems due to family history. I was told everything was normal, but while reviewing the Echo, I noticed that my Right Ventricular Size (Diastole) was 33 mm which is actually considered moderately abnormal. This has me worried. Why would I be told everything is fine when this appears to be quite large?
On echo rv dimensions are unreliable to begin with and for rv function assessment there re various parameters not routinely assessed . And diastolic function of Lv is more important with respect to routine echo evaluation.
