Hello.

Your ultrasound report appears essentially normal. There are small follicles over the ovaries but they are not sufficient to call it as polycystic ovarian disease.

Your weight appears ok as long as you are of average height. Irregular periods may be due to many other reasons apart from polycystic ovaries. Thyrood disorders are one major reason. Do check your thyroid profile so that if any abnormality, it can be corrected soon. Lifestyle factors like stress, poor nutrition are other factors which affect the menstrual cycle apart from hormonal causes. Adopting healthy habits, good nutrition and exercise can help to a significant extent.

Many women with irregular menses donot have problems with fertility. So you can be assured that even if no particular cause is found, you may not have any fertility problems.

Hope this helps.

Regards,
Dr Geeta
