General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The effects of cocaine are multi factorial during pregnancy as:
- Respiratory depression
- Lethargy
- Sedation
- Somnolesence
- Defects in placental circulation compromising fetal circulation

However, the duration, amount of cocaine intake and individual metabolic factors do come in action for over all effects upon mother as well as infant. I would suggest to avoid Cocaine totally till the delivery of the baby for well being of yours and your baby for sure.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
