What Are The Effects Of Overdose Of Valium And Nitroglycerin?

my father-in-law, who is 77 years old, 200lbs, and has a pace maker, just took a bunch (not sure what that means...) of Valium (10mg each) and he also has nitroglycerin (.4 tablets) and I don t know if he took any after the big argument at home . he is laying down if we call 911 he would be livid! what should I do???!! PLEASE help!!

Dear Patient,

if a 77 year old takes several valium and nitroglycerine this can have an effect on breathing and heart function and even lead to coma or sudden death. Since ut is not clear how many he took, i suggest calling 911 that will be the safest thing to do. Other than that there is not much you can do unfortunately.
