What Are The Effects Of Dehydration?

I've had a rough week and a half emotionally, my brother died way to young last Tuesday. I've been drinking a lot of coffee and not much else and over the last 4 days my tounge has been swollen and a little sore and I'm talking funny. Am I dehydrated ? And does dehydration cause your tounge to swell?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
Dehydration may keep the tongue thin, it wont cause to swell.
It appears to be the glossitis, due to not taking proper food.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms ofloxacin, diclofenac, lactic acid bacilli.
Take more of green leafy vegetables, pulses, sprouts, and protein rich foods, to have a early recovery, and to have good resistance.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
