I have severe osteoarthritis in my lead hip. re golf with some bursitis I am told.. Hi and welcome to Healthcaremagic. I understand your concerns.
I hope I have answered your query.
There are certain side effects of cortisone as for any other steroid but when used as short term or as a single shot then these side effects are minimal. if used for longer period then it may lead to include nausea, skin dryness, or weight gain so it is not recommended to take it in higher doses and for longer period of time. Acupuncture can be tried first or combined with shot since acupuncture alone has very limited efficiency.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
