What Are The Chances Of Conception After Being Diagnosed For Thyroid?
Hi, I am 36 years old and trying to conceive for the past 2 years without success. For the past 2 years the doctors never tested me for thyroid and just recently during blood tests was found to be hypothyroid with TSH of 7.76 but normal FT3 and FT4. What are my chances of conceiving. My pelvic scan is normal and tubes are patent. I have regular 28 day cycles every month. We are trying for a second child, have a 6 year old daughter.
Hello, Good day. After the age of 35 years, you have less number of follicles in ovary and conception may not be that easy like before the age of 30 years. TSH of 7.7 is high , but I don't think that alone will cause your problem. However, it is better to take Thyronorm 50 mcg inn the morning ( 1 hour before food) and check TSH after 6 weeks. You have to maintain TSH Best wishes Regards Binu
