What Are The Chances Of Conceiving When Having PCOD?

Bangaloregirl: I have polycystic ovaries but I get my periods almost regularly i.e within 28 days to 35 days gap. I have been trying to conceive for a few years now. But unsuccessfully. I have undergone failed IUI cycles. I had conceived through IVF but fetal death ad occurred in the 8th month due to unkown reasons. I now intend to conceive naturally. Do I have to take APCOD twice daily or can I take just once since my periods are almost regular? Also since APCOD is a little on the expensive side, please suggest other brands too.

Hi,

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a condition that affects the hormonal balance of a woman's body, which can result in irregular periods, difficulty in ovulation, and problems in conceiving. However, women with PCOS can still conceive, but it may require some medical assistance. In your case, although you get your periods almost regularly, you have been trying to conceive for a few years unsuccessfully. Failed IUI cycles and fetal death during IVF are also associated with PCOS.

Women with PCOS may have difficulties in conceiving because they may not ovulate regularly or have irregular ovulation cycles. Therefore, to increase your chances of conceiving, it is essential to manage PCOS symptoms through medication, lifestyle changes, and weight management. APCOD is a dietary supplement that contains various vitamins, minerals, and natural ingredients, such as inositol, which can help regulate hormones in women with PCOS.

Taking APCOD twice daily can help regulate your menstrual cycle and improve your chances of ovulation, thereby increasing your chances of conceiving. If APCOD is too expensive, you can also try other brands of inositol supplements, such as Ovasitol or Inofert, which are also effective in managing PCOS symptoms and improving fertility. It is also essential to maintain a healthy lifestyle, including a balanced diet, regular exercise, and stress management, as these can also help regulate hormones and improve fertility.

In summary, women with PCOS can still conceive, but it may require medical assistance. Taking APCOD or other inositol supplements can help regulate hormones and increase the chances of ovulation and conception. It is also essential to maintain a healthy lifestyle to manage PCOS symptoms and improve fertility.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello,

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) can affect fertility in different ways. One of the main ways is that women with PCOS often don't ovulate regularly, which can make it difficult to conceive. However, not all women with PCOS have difficulty conceiving, and some are able to conceive naturally without any issues. The chances of conceiving with PCOS depend on a variety of factors, including the severity of the condition and whether any other fertility factors are present.

In your case, it sounds like you have been experiencing fertility challenges despite having regular periods. While regular periods are a good sign, it's possible that you may not be ovulating regularly or that there are other factors contributing to your infertility. This may be why you have not been successful with IUI cycles and why you experienced fetal death during your IVF pregnancy.

APCOD is a dietary supplement that contains myo-inositol and other ingredients that may be helpful for women with PCOS who are trying to conceive. However, it's important to note that dietary supplements are not a substitute for medical treatment and should be used under the guidance of your caring doctor/nurse.

If you are considering taking APCOD, I would recommend discussing this with your doctor to determine the appropriate dosage and to make sure that it's safe for you to take. Your doctor may also be able to recommend other supplements or medications that could be helpful.

Regarding other brands of myo-inositol supplements, there are several options available on the market. However, it's important to choose a high-quality supplement from a reputable brand to ensure that you're getting a safe and effective product. It is better to discuss this with your caring doctor who can help you choose a supplement that is appropriate for your needs.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
