What Are The Causes Of High Cholesterol, Weak Heart Muscles, Shortness Of Breath And Jaw Pain?

I am asking for a friend
He is 55 years of age
smoker has high cholesterol family history of heart disiese weaken heart muscles and contested lungs
shortness of breath chest discomfort jaw pain and back and arm Pain (left arm) and a irregular heart beat what condition does my friend have?

Hi and welcome to HCM. Your friend needs immediate medical attention. His age, cholesterol level, has hsitory of heart disease and congested lungs with left arm and jaw pain all suggest that he might be suffering from myocardial ischemia and also mild infarction, means heart attack. He may also going to heart failure where heart fails to pump adequately. He may need to undergo some tests like angiography, Lipid profile, RFT. Depending on the extent of blockage an angioplasty may be planned by his treating doctor. Follow few advices
1.quit smoking
2.quit alcohol
3.Avoid saturated fatty foods,
4.Strict control of BP and sugar (if diabetic and hypertensive)
5.Physical activity (after consulting cardiologist)

Once again i am stressing to consult a cardiologist as early as possible. Irregular heart beats are also dangerous
