Hello and welcome to HCM,
ESR stands for erythrocyte sedimentation rate.
ESR is a non-specific parameter which is raised in chronic inflammatory conditions.
These chronic inflammatory diseases include tuberculosis, rheumatoid arthritis, bronchectasis, osteomyelitis, etc.
The CT scan of your mother reveals granulomas of bilateral brain region called capsuloganglionic region.
Granulomas are commonly associated with tuberculosis.
further investigations are required to look for presence of tuberculosis.
It may not be possible to take any material from the brain thus PCR may be required to detect the presence of mycobacterium tuberculosis in brain.
You need to consult a physician for relevant investigations and appropriate management.

Thanks and take care
