What Are Sudden Zoning Out And Loss Of Sense Suggestive Of?
ok last night something weird happened, i was at my volleyball practice and all of a sudden i completely zoned out or like day dreamed really strong, but i don t remember what i was day dreaming about and all of a sudden i feel water on me because apparently i opened my water bottle and just poured it over my face, i don t even know why i did that, all i remember is just water on me and i instantly woke up. General & Family Physician, Dr. Sirisha's Response
in medical terms your condition is called transient global amnesia.this needs thorough medical investigations to r/o underlying stroke or seizures.sometimes in migraine also similar symptoms are seen. It is better you consult emergency department where you need neurological examination,CT OR MRI,EEG to r/o serious causes like stroke or seizure or head injury. If all these are not there you dont need medication but to prevent future attacks you have to avoid the activity that is causing these symptoms in you such as strenuous work out.balanced diet and exercise like walking for 30 min or yoga with meditation are helpful.
