Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
As per your complain and presentation of symptoms bumps over the back of tongue can be due to inflamed circumvallate papillae that contains
taste buds..
It is not STD or anything serious.
In case if you have
sore throat along with inflamed taste buds then it is possible that it is due to
throat infection which can be bacterial or viral in nature..
Nothing to worry as it will get resolved soon.
Many a times if there is viral throat infection there is secondary bacterial infection along with it so a course of antibiotics should be taken..
So take
Azithromycin 500mg once a day for 5 days.
You can do warm saline gargles 3 to 4 times a day..
Soda bicarb gargles will also help..
For throat pain you can take anti-inflammatory painkiller like
Ibuprofen..
Avoid hot and spicy foods..
You will start feeling better and bumps will start resolving in 3 to 4 days..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..
